As you can see in this picture, it wasn't an easy paddle. A maze of rocks awaited us, and the ones you could see were the easy ones. It was the ones just barely under water that Colin and I got our canoe stuck on fairly regularly. Here, Chris and Martin take stock of what appears to be an impenetrable maze of rocks. It turns out that this direction - downstream - is much easier than the next day when we had to make our way upstream.
